The Election

Recently, I was watching television and listening to the speeches of the candidates. I thought to myself. We are in very exciting time in history. The candidates are both making history for themselves and their family. I thought about the legacy they will each leave for their families. Win or Lose they have crossed a threshold in their lives few every achieve. I think it is so important that we all consider the legacy we are going to leave our families and cross the threshold of obstacles that would challenge us to settle for the unfulfilled goals and dreams in life.

Another Soldier takes his rest

A couple of weeks ago. I was shocked by the news that a very special relative had passed away. I packed my bags and journeyed to his Funeral. He was a Vietnam vet. and was given full military honors at the national Military cemetry where he was laid to rest. As I looked at the perfectly aligned headstones, I felt like I was in the presence of great royalty. I cannot say "Thank You" enough to the men and women who have served and are still serving our country.

This Book is moving up in the ranks

The 4th of July

Independence Day, is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, picnics, baseball games, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States, but is often also viewed as simply a summer festival, with patriotic overtones. As you gather with family and friends to enjoy good food and fireworks, say a prayer for the soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan for whom the 4th of July will be spent listening to a different kind of fireworks. Bombs bursting in air for them has another meaning.

The other day, I was sitting in the doctor's office thumbing through a magazine. I found this quote written by a business expert. I thought it was a great quote and I wanted to post it on my blog and share it with others.

Well, the book signing at Patrick Air Force Base was a success. It was an opportunity to not only sign books, it was also an opportunity to connect with other military families and hear their stories about deployment. The staff at Patrick Air Force Base, Base Exchange was so helpful and supportive of me. The staff made sure I had everything I needed to make my book signing a success.

Book Signing

The book signing and fundraiser was a huge success. I was so honored to be able to bless the soldiers and families at the Fisher House in Tampa, Fl. Many soldiers at the James A. Haley Veteran Hospital in Tampa are recovering from brain and head injuries sustained in combat. Those who attended the book signing gave very generously to the Fundraiser to help these very deserving families.
